Rwanda's Health Minister, Sabin Nsanzimana, stated late September that the country began administering vaccines against the Marburg virus in response to an outbreak that led to 13 fatalities.

Russia has extensive developments in the field of vaccines against Marburg virus, West Nile fever, and Lassa fever, said Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko.

"We developed a vaccine against the Ebola virus in the past. Currently, we have made substantial progress on the Marburg virus, Lassa fever, and West Nile fever," he said at a meeting of BRICS health ministers.

He invited BRICS countries to cooperate in this field, noting that Russia is ready to share its knowledge and capabilities.
