Egypt condemns the Israeli land incursion into southern Lebanon and rejects attempts to change the status quo, Foreign Minister Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty said on Tuesday. CAIRO (Sputnik) - Israeli strikes in Lebanon have killed more than 1,000 people in the past two weeks, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights said on Tuesday.
Egypt condemns the Israeli land incursion into southern Lebanon and rejects attempts to change the status quo, Foreign Minister Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty said on Tuesday.
"Minister Abdelatty said that Egypt condemned the dangerous Israeli escalation in southern Lebanon. He stressed that Egypt rejected any attempts to change the status quo in a way that affected Lebanon's sovereignty," the ministry said.
