Mpox is an infectious disease mainly found in Central and West Africa, causing symptoms like fever, rash, and muscle pain. The World Health Organization declared a public health emergency due to its spread on August 14.
Russia has supplied the Republic of Congo with diagnostic tests for mpox as part of its support to African countries in the fight against the disease, the Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare reported.
The service organized training courses for Congolese specialists in the capital of Brazzaville. The courses covered modern mpox detection methods and other relevant issues.
