US presidential candidate Donald Trump has faced two assassination attempts over the past few weeks, with at least one incident allegedly linked to his position on the Ukraine conflict.
Former US President and Republican candidate for the 2024 presidential election, Donald Trump, has once again called for ending the US involvement in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

"Biden and Kamala got us into this war in Ukraine, and now they can't get us out. They can't get us out," Western media quoted Trump as telling the crowd at a rally in Georgia, criticizing President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump's rival in the November election, for their handling of the conflict.

The Republican politician has repeatedly stated that he would end the war in Ukraine if he were re-elected, claiming that he would negotiate a peace deal.

He further argued that the current US strategy of supporting Ukraine is unsustainable and that the US risks getting "stuck" in the conflict.

"I think that we're stuck in that war unless I'm president. I'll get it done. I'll get it negotiated, I'll get out. We gotta get out. Biden says, 'we will not leave until we win.' What happens if they win?" he stated.

While the United States has not deployed troops to Ukraine, it has provided billions of dollars in military and humanitarian aid.
