"It is obvious that in the new geopolitical realities, cooperation in the energy sector should serve to strengthen national economies, contribute to the solution of priority social problems, and improve the quality of life of people," Putin said in an address to the participants and guests of the Russian Energy Week forum.
The head of state added that
BRICS energy ministers will hold a meeting on the sidelines of the forum to outline ways to strengthen the organization's role in the global energy dialogue.
"A meeting of the BRICS energy ministers, which will become one of the key events of the year of Russia's chairmanship in this association, will take place on the sidelines of the forum.
