BEIJING (Sputnik) - Russia will continue enhancing cooperation with friendly states in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America, Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin said on Friday.
"Russia will continue its course of strengthening cooperation with interested countries in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and other friendly states," Fomin said at the 11th Beijing Xiangshan Security Forum.
The Russian Defense Ministry is ready to discuss and resolve any outstanding issues through honest dialogue based on mutual respect, Fomin added.
Russia can also share with partners its experience of dealing with Western-made weapons, the military official told the forum.
"We have a unique understanding of how to counter various types of Western weapons and modern combat tactics, and we are ready to share this experience with our partners," Fomin said.
The Xiangshan Security Forum is taking place in Beijing from September 12-14.
