The adviser to the Russian President, Anton Kobyakov, held a meeting with representatives of African companies on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum 2024 in Russia.
The parties discussed the further development of business cooperation, expansion of economic ties, and implementation of joint projects in various fields.

"Interaction with African countries is one of Russia's priorities. We see enormous potential in joint projects, especially in such areas as energy, infrastructure, agriculture, high technology, and education. We are systematically working to deepen cooperation between Russian and African businesses and are ready to support those initiatives that will ensure sustainable and progressive development of partnerships, taking into account the interests of both parties," Kobyakov noted, according to a press release.

The meeting also touched upon the interaction within the framework of the largest business platforms in Russia. Special attention was paid to the preparation of the upcoming First Ministerial Conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum, which will be held on November 9-10 in the Russian federal territory "Sirius," the statement said.
The event is aimed at strengthening comprehensive cooperation between Russia and African countries in all its dimensions: politics, security, economics, scientific, technical, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
The conference will include round tables and panel discussions on the most pressing topics of the Russian-African agenda, including humanitarian cooperation. The business program will be attended by foreign ministers of African states, heads of executive bodies of the continent's integration associations, representatives of Russian and African businesses, heads of relevant ministries, representatives of government agencies and financial institutions, as well as leading experts and public figures.
The Eastern Economic Forum is being held from September 3 to 6 in the Russian coastal city of Vladivostok on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University. The EEF is organized by the Roscongress Foundation.
