The Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), established by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2015, is a key international platform for establishing and strengthening ties between the Russian and global investment communities and presentation of investment opportunities for advanced development.
The 2024 Eastern Economic Forum is set to take place on September 3-6 at the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok. Putin is scheduled to address the plenary session of the event.
The Forum events are traditionally held in the form of panel discussions, round tables, TV debates, business breakfasts and business dialogues on Russia's relations with various countries of the world.
The 1st Eastern Economic Forum was held on September 3-5, 2015, and was addressed by President Putin. EEF 2015 was attended by 1.8 thousand people and guests and 32 official foreign delegations. More than 80 contracts worth over 1.3 trillion rubles ($14.5 billion) were signed.
