On Monday, the Western newspaper reported that agricultural lands in ten states in northern Nigeria were severely affected by floods caused by continuous rainfall, threatening to worsen the country's food crisis. Over 200,000 people have been displaced due to the natural disaster, the report said on Tuesday, adding that Northern Nigeria has been hit the hardest by the floods. At the same time, other parts of the country also remain at risk due to heavy rains and rising water levels in two of the largest rivers: the Niger and the Benue, the report read. About 2,000 people have been injured, and more than 100,000 hectares of agricultural land have been destroyed in Nigeria as a result of the recent floods, the report added.

On Monday, the Western newspaper reported that agricultural lands in ten states in northern Nigeria were severely affected by floods caused by continuous rainfall, threatening to worsen the country's food crisis.
Over 200,000 people

At the same time, other parts of the country also remain at risk due to heavy rains and rising water levels in two of the largest rivers: the Niger and the Benue, the report read.
"In the coming days, the central parts will soon witness similar floods, and even downwards to the southern parts," Ezekiel was quoted as saying by the broadcaster.
About 2,000 people have been injured, and more than 100,000 hectares of agricultural land have been destroyed in Nigeria as a result of the
recent floods, the report added.
