MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Ethiopia is working to attract Russian investment in key sectors, including manufacturing, technology, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and agricultural processing, the EBC broadcaster reported, citing Ethiopian Industrial Parks Development Corporation head Fisseha Yitagesu.
Yitagesu reportedly held a virtual meeting with Roza Yerukneh, the deputy head of mission at the Ethiopian Embassy in Russia, during which the parties emphasized the potential for expanding Russian participation in the development of Ethiopian industrial parks.
"We are committed to working closely with our embassy to realize this goal," Yitagesu was quoted as saying by the broadcaster on Thursday.
Yerukneh, in turn, noted the historical political and economic ties between Ethiopia and Russia, adding that Russian investors are showing great interest in Ethiopian industrial parks.
