"The situation in our Belgorod region continues to be extremely difficult and tense. Daily shelling by the Ukrainian armed forces destroyed houses, wounded and killed civilians. Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on the attack, said that Ukraine had undertaken another large-scale provocation and was firing indiscriminately at civilian targets as well.
