Throughout 2024, Russian forces have been successful in their operations against the Ukrainian military, gaining control of several settlements, including strategically important ones.
The Russian military conducted 33 strikes using precision weapons and attack drones, targeting Ukraine’s military enterprises involved in producing gunpowder, armored equipment, and energy facilities, the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) stated on Friday.

"From July 20 to 26 of this year, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out 33 coordinated strikes using precision weapons and attack drones, hitting Ukrainian military facilities manufacturing gunpowder, plants producing armored equipment, and energy infrastructure supporting them," the MoD said in a statement.

The ministry also specified that Russian strikes targeted drone assembly workshops, ammunition and artillery depots, military convoys carrying equipment and personnel, as well as temporary deployment sites for foreign mercenaries.

"The losses of the armed forces of Ukraine amounted to up to 4,640 servicemen, six tanks, 23 armored combat vehicles, including two US-made M113 armored personnel carriers, and 44 vehicles [in battles with Russia's Battlegroup Yug]," the MoD also said in a statement.

Russian troops liberated the village of Ivano-Daryevka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the ministry said.
Russia’s Battlegroup Zapad repelled nine counterattacks, and Kiev lost up to 3,640 servicemen, while the Tsentr Battlegroup thwarted 42 counterattacks and Ukraine lost up to 2,525 soldiers.
Additionally, Russia's Battlegroup Sever repelled 21 counterattacks and Kiev lost up to 1,385 soldiers in battles, the ministry added.
A total of 63 Ukrainian soldiers surrendered to Russia in the past week, the ministry concluded.
