Navy Day in Russia is a national holiday that honors sailors in units of the Russian Navy and its specialized arms, including Naval Aviation and the Coastal Troops (consisting of the Naval Infantry and the Coastal Missile and Artillery Troops). It is celebrated annually on the last Sunday of July.
On the eve of the celebration of Navy Day, 15 foreign military students at the Kuznetsov Naval Academy took an excursion on the cruiser "Aurora" in Saint Petersburg.
The participants of the excursion are military students from Libya, Ethiopia, Guinea-Bissau, Vietnam, Cambodia, Kazakhstan, and Tanzania who are studying at the Kuznetsov Naval Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia.
The 15 students boarded the historic ship, one of three Pallada-class cruisers built in St. Petersburg for service in the Pacific.

Russian Navy Should Increase Combat Potential in Strategically Important Regions, Putin Says
During the excursion, they were shown exhibits at the Central Naval Museum and the interior of the cruiser, which long trained midshipmen of the Russian Imperial Navy and then cadets of the Red Fleet.
The guests deemed Russian history "amazing and inspiring for everyone."
They also called for the development of friendly relations between Russia and their countries and thanked for the opportunity to receive quality higher education.
