Russia has fulfilled all the promises to African countries that it made at the second Russia-Africa summit, said Oleg Ozerov, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry.According to Ozerov, the arrogance of the West and attempts to speak in the language of dictate and patronizing tone do not find “absolutely any understanding among Africans.” Ozerov, who is also Head of the Secretariat of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum, noted that intensive preparations are now underway for the meeting of foreign ministers in the Russia-Africa format, which will be held in Russia's Sochi in the fall.Moreover, Russia intends to find out from Zambia, Malawi, and Mauritius how they joined the final communique of the conference on Ukraine in Switzerland's city of Burgenstock without participating in the event itself.The official added that South Africa, Libya, and Mauritania did not sign it, and Rwanda withdrew its signature.The conference on Ukraine was held on June 15-16 in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, at the initiative of Kiev. The final communique of the forum was not signed by a number of countries, including Armenia, Brazil, India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa.Russia was not invited to the conference. The delegations of most UN members were absent. As stated by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, the conference turned out to be a complete fiasco; such meetings cannot serve as the basis for sustainable peace.In March, the Russian diplomat told Sputnik that in the autumn, in the Russian resort city of Sochi, at a two-day meeting of foreign ministers of the Russia-Africa format, the diplomats would review the interim results of the second Russia-Africa summit. This summit was held in the summer of 2023 in St. Petersburg. They would also outline the main directions of development.

Russia Fulfills All Promises Made to African Countries at Second Russia-Africa Summit, Official Says

The interim results will be reviewed at the two-day Russia-Africa foreign ministers' meeting in Russia's Sochi this autumn.
Russia has fulfilled all the promises to African countries that it made at the second Russia-Africa summit, said Oleg Ozerov, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"All the promises our president made at the second summit have been fully fulfilled," Ozerov noted during the Valdai Discussion Club.
According to Ozerov, the arrogance of the West and
attempts to speak in the language of dictate and patronizing tone do not find “absolutely any understanding among Africans.”
“The steps we have taken towards countries that are truly in need have been gratefully accepted by African countries,” he added.
Ozerov, who is also Head of the Secretariat of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum, noted that intensive preparations are
now underway for the meeting of foreign ministers in the Russia-Africa format, which will be held in Russia's Sochi in the fall.
"Russian grain went to Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, the Central African Republic, Mali, Somalia, and Eritrea, and fertilizer to Zimbabwe, Malawi, Kenya, and Nigeria," Ozerov said.
Moreover, Russia intends to find out from Zambia, Malawi, and Mauritius how they joined the final communique of the conference on Ukraine in Switzerland's city of Burgenstock without participating in the event itself.
"Out of 54 African countries, only 14 took part [in the conference], and of them, only 10 signed the final communique with these demands from [Volodymyr] Zelensky and so on," he said.
The official added that South Africa, Libya, and Mauritania
did not sign it, and Rwanda withdrew its signature.
"Later, however, something strange happened: three African countries - Zambia, Malawi, and Mauritius: somehow joined this document without participating in the conference. We certainly intend to inquire how it is possible to join such a dubious document without taking part in anything," Ozerov underlined.
