ACCRA (Sputnik) - In last week's interview with Sputnik, Ghanaian ex-president John Dramani Mahama expressed great admiration for the 2023 Russia-Africa Summit, emphasizing that the Russia-Africa Summit establishes the basis for collaboration between the African continent and Russia.
The Russia-Africa summit in 2023 in St. Petersburg had given impetus to bilateral relations, Togolese Foreign Minister Robert Dussey told Sputnik.
"The Russia-Africa Summit in 2023 in St. Petersburg had given impetus to relations between Russia and Africa. The implementation of the summit's decisions continues, progress is being made in areas such as trade, security cooperation and educational exchanges," Dussey said.
Several African countries, including Togo, are working to simplify foreign trade rules with Russia, the minister added.
