Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said in an interview with the Times magazine earlier in the day that Swedish investigators had discontinued the case in February as they were unable to identify the perpetrators. Stockholm has neither the right nor the will to object to the United States, she said, adding that "effectively we are talking about an international collusion with the aim of concealing a grave crime — a terrorist attack." The Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines, built to deliver gas under the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany, were hit by explosions in September 2022. Nord Stream's operator, Nord Stream AG, said that the damage was unprecedented and that it was impossible to estimate the time repairs might take. Russia considers the explosions of the two pipelines an act of international terrorism. Moscow has requested the materials of the case several times, but to no avail, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Sweden Shows 'Judicial Apathy' by Closing Nord Stream Bombing Case, Moscow Says
09:59 14.07.2024 (Updated: 17:19 15.07.2024) MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told Sputnik on Saturday that Sweden's decision to close the case of the explosions at the Nord Stream pipelines demonstrated Stockholm's "judicial apathy."
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said in an interview with the Times magazine earlier in the day that Swedish investigators had discontinued the case in February as they were unable to identify the perpetrators.
"Let me remind you that the crime was committed in Sweden's special economic zone. And the reason for this judicial apathy is that the main beneficiary of the terrorist attack is the [US President Joe] Biden administration, which did not hide the relevant plans," Zakharova said.
Stockholm has neither the right nor the will to object to the United States, she said, adding that "effectively we are talking about an international collusion with the aim of concealing a grave crime —
a terrorist attack."
