10:44 06.07.2024 (Updated: 10:50 06.07.2024) MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The Russian armed forces struck the Sumykhimprom plant in the city of Sumy, where cluster munitions for multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) are manufactured, the coordinator of the pro-Russian underground network in Nikolayev (Mykolaiv), Sergey Lebedev, told Sputnik.
Lebedev said that during the night, the Russian armed forces struck a
military facility in Sumy three times.
"The second explosion took place at half past midnight. Next to the first, at the Sumykhimprom plant. The plant has a large territory, hangars, and railway lines have been connected to the plant. According to the underground, chemical production is now focused on manufacturing cluster munitions for MLRS missiles. According to the resistance, the production itself is located underground. Manufactured munitions are installed on rockets there," he said.
