MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Earlier in June, Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali told Sputnik that Tehran and Moscow should continue cooperation under Iran's new president to eliminate sanctions as a tool of pressure in international relations.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko and acting Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani confirmed at a meeting in the Iranian capital of Tehran the mutual intention of the two states to continue to expand cooperation, including in joint infrastructure projects in the transport and energy sectors, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"The parties exchanged views on key issues on the bilateral and international agenda. The mutual intention to further intensify cooperation in all priority areas, including those related to the promotion of joint infrastructure projects in the areas of transport and energy, was confirmed," the ministry said in a statement on Monday.
