On the sidelines of the BRICS Foreign Ministers' meeting, Ethiopian Foreign Minister Taye Atske Selassie and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed their countries' commitment to deepening political dialogue and aligning their approaches in the UN and BRICS.
Ethiopia and Russia will enhance their bilateral relations through increased engagement between the countries' people and governments, Adem Farah, Ethiopian Democracy Building Center Coordinator Office, with the rank of Deputy Prime Minister and Vice President of the Prosperity Party (PP), said.
Farah held talks with Andrey Klimov, Undersecretary of the General Council of the United Russia Party, on the sidelines of the "World Majority for Multipolar Order" forum hosted by Russia on June 16-19.

Ethiopia's Participation in BRICS Will Help Solve Country's Socio-Economic Problems, Sherpa Says
During the discussion, the PP vice president noted strong Russia-Ethiopia relations with a long history.
He thanked Russia's government and the United Russia Party for their support of Ethiopia's membership in the BRICS, calling it a significant advancement in the country's diplomatic efforts.
He also emphasized the importance of establishing a conducive environment for exporting Ethiopian agricultural products such as coffee, horticulture, sesame, and various grains directly to the Russian market.
Earlier, the foreign ministers of the two nations talked about "enhancing bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation."
