The 2024 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) saw the signing of at least 1,073 agreements worth 6.492 trillion rubles ($73 billion), excluding the amounts that constitute a commercial secret, Russia's Roscongress Foundation, which organized the event, said on Monday.The agreement between Russian state corporation VEB.RF and hydroelectricity company RusHydro became the most significant at the forum in terms of value and amounted to an estimated 650 billion rubles, the foundation said. The parties agreed to cooperate in the implementation of thermal generation modernization projects in Russia’s Far East. The Russian city of St. Petersburg became the leader in terms of the number of agreements concluded among Russian regions, having signed 69 agreements worth almost 1.3 trillion rubles. The largest number of agreements — a total of 251 — were signed in the field of social and economic development in the Russian regions.

Over 21,000 participants from 139 countries took part in the forum, SPIEF Organization Committee Secretary Anton Kobyakov has said.
The 2024 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) saw the signing of at least 1,073 agreements worth 6.492 trillion rubles ($73 billion), excluding the amounts that constitute a commercial secret, Russia's Roscongress Foundation, which organized the event, said on Monday.
"The Forum resulted in the signing of 1,073 agreements for a total of RUB 6.492 trillion (only including agreements whose amount does not constitute a commercial secret), including 55 with representatives of foreign companies," Roscongress said in a statement.
