Representatives of 40 countries took part in the competition, including teams from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Cameroon, Serbia, South Ossetia, and Mongolia. A separate international team was formed by foreign cadets from the Academy of GPS EMERCOM of Russia. They chose a stylized image of a contour map of the world as their emblem, symbolizing the international fraternity of firefighters. The competition had three levels: "Extreme," "Professional," and "Orientation" for members of foreign rescue services and organizations who wanted to learn more about the competition in order to participate next time. For those spectators who could not attend the grand prix, a live broadcast was provided with the participation of professional sports commentators. The philosophy of the competition was to bring together the international experience of firefighters in rescuing people and extinguishing fires, thus the grand prix was a great platform for meeting professionals from all over the world.
