A modified F-35B of the US Marine Corps crashes in the country's state of New Mexico, reports said.The aircraft was flying from Fort Worth in the country's state of Texas, to Edwards Air Force Base in California. It crashed almost immediately after take-off from Kirtland AFB (Kirtland Air Force Base) in New Mexico, where it had made a technical stop for refueling.According to emergency services, the pilot was able to eject. He survived, but was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.The F-35B is a US modified fighter jet with STOVL (short take-off and vertical landing) capability. The accident was at least the fifth loss of an F-35B.

US Marine Corps crashes in the country's state of New Mexico, reports said.
