Russia and Ethiopia will collaborate to create a detailed plan for joint work in the field of space exploration and will formalize their agreement by signing memoranda of cooperation, head of Russian state space corporation Roscosmos Yuri Borisov said on Friday.Ethiopia is actively developing in the space industry. The country has built East Africa's largest observatory and research center in Entoto, on the outskirts of the capital Addis Ababa. In early May, Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia Evgeny Terekhin told Sputnik that options for Ethiopia joining Russian space research programs could be discussed on the sidelines of a meeting of the heads of the BRICS space agencies in Moscow in May.
Russia and Ethiopia will collaborate to create a detailed plan for joint work in the field of
space exploration and will formalize their agreement by signing memoranda of cooperation, head of Russian state space corporation Roscosmos Yuri Borisov said on Friday.
“We have outlined a very wide range of issues with Ethiopia, which has recently joined BRICS. We will sign memoranda in the near future, and will develop a road map on all issues of interest,” Borisov said.
Ethiopia is actively developing in the space industry. The country has built East Africa's largest observatory and research center in Entoto, on the outskirts of the capital Addis Ababa.
