Presidential elections in Ukraine in 2024 were scheduled to be held in March. However, the vote was called off due to martial law and general mobilization in the country.
Zelensky since May 21 should be held criminally liable for usurpation of power, Chairman of the council of "Other Ukraine" movement and Doctor of Law, Viktor Medvedchuk, told Sputnik.
Since no presidential elections have been held in Ukraine, Zelensky cannot be in power from that date because his term ended on May 20, he is illegitimate as president and loses his immunity, he explained.
Ukraine's 2024 presidential election was canceled, citing martial law and general mobilization. Zelensky said the election was "not the right time."
