On Sunday night, US President Joe Biden addressed the annual Fight for Freedom Fund dinner hosted by the Detroit Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People at Huntington Place. This marked his first visit to the city during this election season.
US President Joe Biden has added to his bunch of gaffes another one, referencing on the individuals who stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021, as "erectionists" instead of "insurrectionists" as it was written on the teleprompter.

"He [Trump] calls the erectionists who stormed Capitol Hill patriots," the president said, while talking about the ex-president and his current rival in the presidential elections.

On January 6, 2021, a group of supporters of former President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol complex in an attempt to prevent Congress from certifying the 2020 election results, which Trump claimed were fraudulent. Since then, hundreds of individuals have been charged with crimes related to the incident.
Biden also bewildered the audience by strangely asserting that he was Vice President when the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020. In fact, his tenure as Vice President ended in January 2017.
"When I was vice president, things were kinda bad during the pandemic…" he stated.
Just last week, he called North Korean leader Kim Jong Un "South Korean President," at a campaign reception in Portola Valley, California.
