Africa Becomes One of Priorities in Russia's Foreign Policy, Says Ministry
Answering a question about how the agreements of the second Russia-Africa Summit are being implemented, Lavrov noted that relations with the countries of the African continent are developing in a working mode.
He highlighted that the summit resulted in five documents aimed at practical interaction in the fields of investment, trade, creation of new logistics chains, as well as transition to trade in national currencies.
Russia's top diplomat Sergey Lavrov stated in February that Russia is making efforts to increase its diplomatic footprint in Africa and is seeking to broaden its economic and humanitarian ties with the continent, which is poised to be a key player in the developing multipolar world.
