At least 39 people are believed to be pinned under the rubble, the News24 outlet reported. Earlier this week, the South African presidency said that the building collapse had left five people dead. At the same time, municipal authorities said that the accident had killed at least six people and left dozens more missing. The five-story building reportedly collapsed when workers were inside it. MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The death toll from a collapse of a building under construction in the South African city of George has risen to 14, with the rescue operation to free people trapped under the rubble still ongoing, South African media reported on Friday.
At least 39 people are believed to be pinned under the rubble, the News24 outlet reported.
Earlier this week, the
South African presidency said that the building collapse had left five people dead. At the same time, municipal authorities said that the accident had killed at least
