Kabba also invited the Russian company Alrosa to study its possibilities in the field of diamond mining in Sierra Leone after the lifting of sanctions imposed by Western countries.

"We discussed the prospects and directions of our bilateral cooperation. We paid special attention to projects that are currently being discussed between the relevant departments in the field of energy and mining," Lavrov said at a joint press conference with his counterpart from Sierra Leone.
He added that Freetown also has an interest in cooperation with Moscow in the healthcare sector.
