Macron sending troops to the conflict zone in Ukraine, saying that the leader's perception of the military is "like a child playing with toy soldiers."
"When you see that France has just lost the war in the Sahel, I can't imagine it getting involved in a war of a different dimension in Ukraine," French journalist Jacques-Marie Bourget told Sputnik Africa, commenting on the possible deployment of French troops to the Ukrainian front, proposed by President Emmanuel Macron.
In the French journalist's opinion, Macron "
will never do it."
"He is responding to a roadmap [...] laid out for him by the United States." By adopting the posture of a "beanpole", "he wants to show that he, the only one who can fight, is ready".
What's more, Macron "knows nothing about the military. He likes to wear aviator jackets and uniforms when he has the chance. But he doesn't really have a personal strategic vision. He likes barracks, parades, and that's it," Bourget said.
