In 2023, Russian specialists helped overcome an outbreak of intestinal infections in the Republic of the Congo. The result was a 16-fold reduction in the incidence rate. Two Russian mobile laboratories were also delivered to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.A project for the establishment of a Russian-Burundian medical center for research and control of infectious diseases is planned for 2024.
