Russian-Senegalese relations are stable and friendly and are steadily developing. In 2022, Senegal became Russia's largest trade and economic partner in West Africa, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Russian senators are ready to actively cooperate with the Senegalese parliament, Chairwoman of the Russian Upper House Valentina Matviyenko said.
Senegal is Russia's proven and reliable partner in Africa, and there is great potential for further development of relations, Matviyenko added.
"On behalf of Russia's Upper House and on my own behalf, I congratulate you on the national holiday of the Republic of Senegal - Independence Day," she said.
