Atomexpo 2024, an international forum held at Russia's Sirius Federal Territory on March 25-26, gave participants the opportunity to hold fruitful discussions on the future of nuclear power and prospects for cooperation in this field.
The order portfolio of Rosatom, the Russian state corporation specializing in nuclear energy and high-tech products, for floating nuclear power plants (NPPs) has grown by about 15 more units following the results of the recent international forum Atomexpo-2024, said Alexey Likhachev, the corporation's director general.

"The latest Atomexpo added a dozen and more orders for floating nuclear power plants," the head noted.

Earlier, the Russian government ordered to develop a roadmap for the development of exports of Russian small-capacity NPPs, including floating units.
The Atomexpo forum brought together senior officials from 75 countries, including Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Iraq, who were attending Atomexpo for the first time. The event set a record for the number of participating countries, Likhachev said.
Following the forum, Rosatom signed roadmaps for the development of nuclear energy cooperation with Mali, Burkina Faso, and Algeria.
