Most of the cyclone's victims reportedly drowned or were swept away by the waters. The floods have also caused significant damage to the region's infrastructure, with the area becoming isolated due to severed roads and collapsed bridges, the newspaper added.
The country's authorities are evacuating residents of the affected areas and delivering humanitarian aid, the newspaper reported, adding that the country's armed forces and the interior ministry were also involved in rescue operations.
