11:02 27.03.2024 (Updated: 11:08 27.03.2024) MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Mali's interim president for the transitional period, Assimi Goita, have discussed steps to strengthen bilateral relations in different areas, including energy field and agriculture, during a phone conversation, the Kremlin said on Wednesday.
During the conversation, the Malian leader also strongly condemned last Friday's terrorist attack on the Crocus City Hall near Moscow and expressed his deep condolences to the Russians, according to the Kremlin statement.
"They [the two leaders] discussed further steps to strengthen Russian-Malian ties in various areas, including the implementation of joint projects in the energy, agriculture, and mining fields," the Kremlin said.
