On Tuesday, Director of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia, Alexander Bortnikov, said that Ukraine's special services facilitated the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack and that radical Islamists prepared it.
It's suspicious that the terrorists immediately ran towards Ukraine, which has been used by the West as a proxy to destabilize Russia, Secretary General of the South African Communist Party (SACP), Solly Mapaila, told Sputnik Africa, commenting on the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall.
"We fully understand that Ukraine is actually working primarily as an instrument of Western interests. And it is in this regard that we have always believed that in this imperialist war against Russia through the proxy of Ukraine, Russia has taken appropriate steps to defend itself and its territorial integrity," he said.

Mapaila went on to say that "in the past, the US itself has funded terrorist groups to destabilize governments it disagrees with" and "has protected terrorists who have committed various acts of terrorism in different countries."
"Of course, they don't want terrorist attacks in their own countries, but they've been perpetuating it in other parts of the world, on the African continent, in Latin America, and Cuba and other places. In Venezuela, they support all these reactionary forces and terrorist groups," the politician noted.
Recalling that on March 7, the US embassy in Moscow issued a warning to its citizens to avoid large gatherings, Mapaila highlighted that it was also "suspicious" that the US had prior information about "an impending attack within the Russian community."
On Tuesday, director of Russia's FSB said that, according to the preliminary information received by the security service, the terrorist attack was facilitated by Kiev, but it was prepared by radical Islamists.
