According to a Sputnik correspondent, at least three individuals dressed in camouflage opened fire on Friday at the Crocus City Hall concert venue outside of Moscow.
More than 100 people were injured in the shooting, while the concert hall caught fire, according to the Sputnik correspondent.

"At least three people in camouflage burst into the ground floor of Crocus City Hall and opened fire with automatic weapons. There are definitely wounded," the correspondent said. "After that [the gunmen] threw a grenade or an incendiary bomb, which started a fire."

"People in the hall laid down on the ground to avoid the fire, laying there for about 15-20 minutes, after which they began to crawl out. Many managed to get out," the correspondent said.
Law enforcement has arrived and are working at the scene. Local authorities said that "all forces and means have been directed to the scene of the incident," and that "information about victims is being confirmed."
The Emergencies Ministry said about a hundred people have been evacuated from the venue's basement.
An operational headquarters has been created. Moscow Mayor has ordered authorities to provide "all necessary assistance," and expressed "condolences to the relatives of the victims."
The Russian Health Ministry told Sputnik that over 50 ambulances has been sent to Krasnogorsk to provide medical care to victims. This number has since been increased to 70.
Members of the musical group Piknik, at whose concert the shooting occurred, were not injured, the director of the show told Sputnik.
A White House spokesperson said the United States is aware of the reports of the mass shooting in Moscow, and considers footage from the scene "terrifying." The US Embassy in Moscow and those of other NATO countries have spent the past several weeks warning of a heightened risk of terror attacks in Moscow and other Russian regions, and urging American nationals to avoid traveling to Russia.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has urged the international community to condemn incident at Crocus City Hall, which it characterized as a "terror attack."

“Two minutes before the concert started, there were bangs, some explosions from the lower floors, and the loudspeakers told ticket holders that there was shooting,” Alexander, a survivor of the attack, told Sputnik.
“A security guard let us into the boiler room where water or fire tanks are kept. There were around 50 people in there amid the smoke for about 25 to 30 minutes. We saved ourselves with hydrants that worked there, wet our clothes and put them on our faces, sat on the floor as low as possible, tried to break the doors, which were barricaded from the back side. After that, Ministry of Emergency Services rescuers broke down the door. We responded and exited as a group. I didn't see anyone when I ran out.“

Russian Church Abroad Prays for Killed, Injured in Terrorist Attack Near Moscow
The Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR) began to pray immediately for those killed and injured in the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow, ROCOR Synod of Bishops Chancellor Archpriest Serafim Gan told Sputnik.
"In ROCOR, we are already praying and will pray for the repose of the souls of all those killed and the speedy recovery of the injured," Gan said on Friday.
The chancellor emphasized the importance for all people to be united in prayer for the victims and their relatives as well as for the salvation of the whole world, which according to him is going through a difficult time.
The rector of ROCOR's St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Washington, Archpriest Victor Potapov, characterized the developments in the Moscow Region as a "massive terrorist attack."
"We will serve a panikhida [memorial service] tonight after the pre-sanctified liturgy for innocent people killed in this atrocious attack," Potapov said in a message to parishioners.

Serbian President Vucic Reflects on Moscow Concert Hall Attack's Perpetrators
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on television that Friday's terrorist attack in Moscow is similar to the modus operandi of one world power, but not the United States, without naming the country in question.
“On March 7, the US Embassy in the Russian Federation called on its citizens not to go shopping in shopping centers and concert halls. This means that their intelligence services intercepted certain conversations and knew that this would happen... There is one world power, not America, whose this is the way to act,” Vucic said on TV Prva and added that he expects an escalation of hostilities in Ukraine and an approaching conflict at the global level.
Earlier, the President of Serbia expressed condolences to the leadership and people of Russia on television in connection with the terrorist attack in Moscow. He also confirmed that he had convened a meeting of the Serbian National Security Council on Saturday in light of the tragedy in Crocus City.
