This year the World Youth Festival hosted 20,000 Russian and foreign young leaders in business, media, international cooperation, culture, science, education, volunteering and charity work, sports, various spheres of public life, as well as youth representing various children's organizations and associations.The unique festival united participants of different professions, beliefs and races and became the embodiment of friendship among peoples.The festival included parades, games, concerts and unifying events such as discussions, workshops, networking and meetings, sports programs with their competitions and an extensive cultural program.As Russian President Vladimir Putin noted in his closing speech, non-state forms of contact between countries can create conditions for equalizing relations at the state level as well.
