February, three months before the counteroffensive:
"It will be necessary that we continue [...] the military support needed for the preservation of Ukraine," French President Emmanuel Macron said.
"New deliveries are being prepared to constantly take into account the most urgent and immediate needs of Ukraine in strengthening its defense capabilities," a joint statement by France and Ukraine, signed in May, read.
"Our unwavering support for Ukraine must be maintained over the long term, whether political, military, economic, humanitarian or related to reconstruction," the French President declared last June.
"We can clearly see that the conflict is taking hold, and we are going to have to show endurance," Sébastien Lecornu, France's Minister of the Armed Forces, noted in September.
