On March 1-7, Russia's federal territory Sirius is hosting the World Youth Festival 2024, which provides an opportunity to initiate a conversation between youth from all over the world. Sputnik serves as an information partner of the event.
The World Youth Festival, which is held in Russia's federal territory Sirius, is "a place where the youth can learn a lot in terms of improving their future," Rector of Tanzania Institute of Accountancy Professor William Amos Pallangyo told Sputnik Africa.
"We are looking at it [the WYF] in a special way. In a special way, in the sense that it brings up a collection of around 20,000 students, youth from different institutions and I think this is a place where the youth can learn a lot in terms of improving their future," the professor said.

Commenting on the organization of the event, Pallangyo highlighted the work of volunteers and how "a youth event is being handled by youth themselves."

"I'm also impressed by the way the youth's working in terms of becoming volunteers, handling their own activity without interruption, and actually it is a youth event, and it is being handled by youth themselves," he noted.

Speaking about the young people shaping the future of Africa, the rector stressed that "this is a group which needs to be nurtured so that later it turns the world into a very good place to live."
The World Youth Festival 2024 is organized by Russia's Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodyozh).
