Russia Building Supercomputer in Saratov, Official Says

The Saratov regional government said that in December 2020 an agreement was signed between it, financial giant Sberbank, and the Rossetti power company to create the largest bank data center in Russia near Balakovo, where the project is planned to be implemented in three phases.
Russia is developing the country's largest supercomputer based on a processor built by the banking and financial company Sberbank, according to Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
In a statement on Telegram, Volodin noted that the project is a very important one, which will be implemented in the city of Balakovo in Saratov region, where an ultra-high-speed computer, the largest in Russia, will be created.

According to the regional government, the last phase is scheduled for completion in early 2027, with a total area of 62.4 thousand square meters of technological units.
The data center is expected to accommodate at least 3,000 racks of computer equipment, about 120,000 servers, and the maximum power consumption of the data center is 82 megawatts.
