MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russia has completed delivery of wheat to six poorest African countries, Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev told President Vladimir Putin during a meeting on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Putin proposed to discuss Russia’s humanitarian initiative on supplying with to African countries.

“The Agriculture Ministry […] has completed delivery of wheat to six poorest countries of the African continent,” the minister said, adding that 200,000 tonnes of grain were sent to Somalia, the Central African Republic, Eritrea, Mali, Burkina Faso and Zimbabwe.

At the 2023 Russia-Africa Summit, Putin vowed to supply Russian grain free of charge to African countries most in need.
