On Wednesday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov briefed the members of the lower house of the Federal Assembly of Russia, State Duma, on the activities of the country's foreign ministry and answered their questions.
Russia is actively working to expand its diplomatic presence in Africa, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said in the country's lower house of parliament, State Duma.
Moscow is also looking to expand its economic and humanitarian presence on the continent, which is set to become one of the poles of the emerging multipolar world, he added.
