DOHA (Sputnik) - Russia is ready to provide assistance to Sudan in resolving the current military-political crisis, but Moscow does not insist on this, Russian Ambassador to Sudan Andrey Chernovol told Sputnik.
"Russia is always ready to come to the aid of its [Sudanese] friends if they ask for it, but, unlike Western countries, it [Russia] never imposes such ‘good offices," the diplomat said.
He added that from the very beginning of the conflict in Sudan, Russia advocated an internal political resolution of the crisis without outside interference.
