MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The Mercedes Formula 1 team announced on Thursday that seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton will leave the team by the end of 2024 season.
"Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team and Lewis Hamilton will part ways at the end of the 2024 season. Lewis has activated a release option in the contract announced last year," Mercedes said on X.
Seven-time Formula 1
champion Lewis Hamilton signed a contract with the Ferrari team, the Italian team said.
"Scuderia Ferrari is pleased to announce that Lewis Hamilton will be joining the team in 2025, on a multi-year contract," Ferrari said on X.
Hamilton, 39, has been driving for Mercedes since 2013. The British driver
