17:22 18.01.2024 (Updated: 10:34 20.01.2024) MOSCOW (Sputnik) - On Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the Russian military has destroyed a building in Ukraine’s Kharkov that hosted French mercenaries after it launched a precision strike against it.
French ambassador to Russia Pierre Levy was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry in connection with the destruction by the Russian armed forces of the station of foreign fighters in Kharkiv, among whom were the French, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told Sputnik on Thursday.
"In connection with the destruction by the Russian armed forces of the temporary deployment point of foreign fighters in Kharkov, among whom there were several dozen Frenchmen, the French ambassador was summoned to the Foreign Ministry," Zakharova said.
