New E-Library Project to Benefit at Least 11 Million Students in Tanzania

As an African e-book aggregator and distributor, Snapplify offers a collection of 240,000 titles from approximately 250 publishers. Based in South Africa, the educational technology company has partnered with numerous schools across the African continent to provide them with digital educational resources.
Tanzania's public schools are set to receive a significant boost in educational resources with the launch of a new e-library project that will benefit at least 11 million students and more than 200,000 teachers.
The project is a collaboration between the Tanzania Institute for Education (TIE) and Snapplify, a South Africa-based company specializing in educational technology.
Speaking to the media in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania's commercial and financial hub, Stephen Bestbier, government partnerships manager at Snapplify, highlighted the ambitious scope of the initiative.

He emphasized that the e-library project aims to revolutionize education by ensuring access to quality educational resources throughout the country.
Bestbier also underscored the project's distinction as one of the largest digital education initiatives not only within Africa, but on a global scale.
Over the next three years, TIE and Snapplify plan to implement the e-library project in more than 19,000 public schools, providing students with a digital identity that allows them to access educational materials at their convenience.
