The RSF said in a statement issued after meeting a coalition of civil democratic forces, Taqaddum, in Ethiopia’s Addis Ababa that rebel forces had "begun preparations for an immediate and unconditional cessation of hostile actions through negotiations with the Sudanese Armed Forces."
The RSF also said it had authorized the opening of humanitarian corridors in areas under its control for the delivery of humanitarian aid and would create a national committee together with civil society organizations to protect the population in war-affected areas. Separately, the paramilitary said it had agreed to free 451 prisoners.
