Take a Look: Heaviest Snowfall in Moscow in 145 Years

In the central region of Russia, the main snow season occurs in the winter months – December, January and February. During these months, people enjoy the snow-related activities such as snow tubing, skiing and snowball fights.
Moscow has experienced its heaviest snowfall in 145 years. According to meteorologists, snowdrifts in the Russian capital reached mid-winter levels in early December. City services are operating in extended mode.
Nearly 620 thousand cubic meters of snow have been removed for disposal at snow-melting points since the beginning of the abnormal snowfalls, Moscow authorities said.
