MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Over 400 terrorists were eliminated by the armed forces of Burkina Faso on November 26 during the fighting launched in response to the recent attack on the city of Djibo, the Information Agency of Burkina Faso reported on Monday, citing security sources.
The figure is not final as the search for the terrorists' bodies is still ongoing, the Burkinabe news agency reported.
Around 3,000 terrorists attempted to seize Djibo in the country's north last Sunday. However, the country's armed forces managed to carry out a successful counteroffensive thanks to the joint actions of ground forces and aviation.
