Over Three-Quarters of Russians Trust Putin, 78% Approve of His Work, Poll Shows

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Over three-quarters of Russians trust President Vladimir Putin, while 78% approve of his work, a poll by Russia's Public Opinion Foundation (FOM) showed on Friday.
According to the poll, 76% of those polled answered positively the question of whether they trust President Putin, while 14% expressed the opposite opinion. Meanwhile, 78% of respondents approved of the president's work, with 10% disapproving.
The poll was conducted from November 17-19 among 1,500 respondents from 104 cities in 53 Russian regions, and the statistical error did not exceed 3.6%.
At the same time, according to a survey by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM), 78.6% of Russians trust Putin, while his work has the approval of 75.4%. At the same time, 17.6% of respondents said they did not trust the Russian president and 15.2% did not approve of his work.
The VCIOM survey was conducted among 1,600 adults from November 13-19. The poll data are a seven-day average. The margin of sampling error does not exceed 1% with 95% probability.
